I am learning to edit sound, for my interactive design project.

I am learning to edit sound, for my interactive design project.

I’ve been making costums for my gorgeous nefews!

Today I am working on my new project in the interaction lab. I made an arduino controlled electro magnet… Anyway… That is the technical part of what will soon become the sonic memory of a location. I promise to explain more later.

Presenting the prototpe in the nuremberg messe, exhibition hall.

Thanks to all the great participants of the workshop, and to the hardworking spielmittel crew!

Hard working on the last prototype…..

After consulting with friends I came up with a second version, in which you can change the different animal footprints.

testing the toy with Joe’s abilities. I had some very important inputs from this test, but first, and far most important, He succeeded!

I figured I need one handle with a better grasp, in order to fit his weaker hand.

ha!rd working!

Testing the best stamp materials, and the ideal feet number.

testing number of feet… this needs some more feet in order to role easier.

The second stage was to come up with a fun humorristic design, In order to attract Joe and his friends to try it.

first test of the footstamp

The 2 weeks workshop of inclusive play took place last month in germany. 20 designers from all over the world, came to design toys for disabled children.

I created for Joe, a 7 years old boy who is partially paralyzed in the right side of his body. I wanted to create for Joe a toy with which he can practice movement with both hands, and share this activity with other friends.

This was the first stage of the design process. The idea is to make foot steps with this footstamp wheel.

Here I am roughly testing the idea with a simple prototype.
